STRATFORD, Conn. — Police say a Connecticut man has been arrested because he showed up at a dental office naked.

Police say 41-year-old Christopher Hoff, of Stratford, also was five days late for his appointment.

Authorities say Hoff entered Optimus Dental's office Monday with nothing on. A startled female receptionist screamed, and he ran away.

Officers went to his home, and Hoff told them he had been sleeping all day. Police took Hoff to the dental office, where the receptionist identified him.

Hoff was charged with disorderly conduct, public indecency and failure to comply with fingerprinting.

He did not immediately return a telephone message left Wednesday at his home. It's unclear if he has an attorney.

I wonder if the guy is senile. He was also three days late for his appointment. I doubt he will get another appointment there!

Maybe he was hoping to get turned down for his appt so he can have a good excuse for not going to the dentist!
 
I don't know what to think about this. I mean, it's eccentric to show up 5 days late at the dentist's appointment and much less, showing up buck naked.

It sounds like there is something more to the story than what it is telling.

I'm sure there is....but some "excuses" for going to the dentist aren't this extreme, I don't believe....I've lied, cancelling, saying I had been in a wreck....car broke down....I was sick!....etc., etc....But still the "D" day rolled around! There are some dentists that cater to cowards (such as me).

I am sure there is more to the story...he probably had a mental breakdown or something.

You know I was actually thinking the same....

They did not say much on the story....

A lot of possibilities, I also wondered if he dated someone at the dental office..

but who knows... until we know the whole story
