Are you glad you have deafies friends or you glad you have hearing people??
Do you perfer hearing world or deaf world? I was just cerious since I've notcied that quite few deafies perfer deaf world....

I was talking to my best friend who he is deaf but since he got a CI he's hearing now.... YES thats what I believe in... Because he can talk on the phone etc...... its amazing.. Im looking forwards to get my CI and for those who have or getting a CI I wish you the best of luck!! He said he would perfer hearing worlds, but he got maybe 2 or 3 deafies as friends BUT he grew up with them so its different.

OF COUSRE I CARE ABOUT PEOPLE!

My ex friend is NUTS, she would ask me if apts are allow to have GAS DRYERS? COME ON! Puh Please........ She has a hearing boyfriend who love her soo much....So in her own words she perfers hearings also but if a deafie comes along then she would give them a chance like I would.. Told it in other threads....

Im glad I have hearing friends and living in the hearing world... I've tried to have deafies but its not going to work out for me at all... I got a ex friend who lives arcoss from me she is deaf 100% and can't use her voice. I used to sign with her and thought we would become friends PHHHFFT we're not! Thank goodness...... It's getting werid for me.. But make your statment and would like to read thru them.

I like the hearing world and hearing friends & Families......Of cousre I would be friends with anyone IF THOSE WHO TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY! <3 <3
 
I like to have BOTH deaf and hearing friends. I enjoy all my friends. :D It does not matter if they are deaf, hoh, CI, hearing, etc. As long as we are able to communicate in some way, I am happy. :)

I'm in part of both worlds, I am not a person that judge any individuals from the outside based on their hearing, based on their disability, based on their speech language (spoken language). I'm friends with any individuals who wants to be my friend, It's not gotta be based on their hearing. I don't care who's hearing, who's deaf, who's hard of hearing, who's mute, who's deaf and blind, who's disability. ;)

Just my two cents.

I think your right i like both but its easier to become friends with people who understand what your saying and if you can understand them

There is always a way to learn from them, like for example, if a deaf person is mute and knows only ASL, You could communicate with a mute deaf person with ASL. If a person is hearing, You could be able to communicate by reading lips/spoken language or paper and pen if cannot be able to speak. With Deaf and blind, You could be able to use finger spelling on their palm hand to communicate also. It takes a lot of patience, if you have it. ;)

If we can sign to each other, that's great.

If we can speak/sign to each other, that's great.

If we can write back and forth or type to each other, that's great.

As long as we can understand each other. :)

U said your best friend who has CI now is hearing? That is bull. He is still deaf.

I live in both worlds, I am very deaf and do not need CI to be alike them deaf people with CI. I have many friends who have CI, they are still same people as they were before CI. I married to hearing man for many years and have hearing children so I live in both world. I am more hearing than my deaf friends with CI.

I talk alike deaf to many customers everyday, some of them unds me, some of them don't unds me. At least I make connect with them and let them get know me. They need to be aware of deaf people instead of us hiding away from hearing world. They love me and talk postive about me. That is what we should do go out and meet them. Give them chance to get know us more.

It is sad when I read this about u attack your old friend who does not talk and using full ASL. So what I love them , they are fun to be with and many hearing people want to be with them also.

Basically, all of my friends are hearing. I have another friend who has a CI and another person that I just got acquainted with who is a recent CI implantee.

I'm more close to being deaf than hearing ..I'm highly hoh. Some members of my father's side are also hoh but all my friends and environment is hearing. I sometimes miss a hoh lady who would share my world :whistle:
