Hi! I am hearing and taking ASL 4 at my high school.

We are doing a project on how effective the Emergency Alert System is in the deaf and hard of hearing world.

I basically want to know if Emergency Broadcasts are clear and helpful.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Just a tip, as I guess EAS are not applicable everywhere.
And by state or region, there may be differences, so I suggest you to include that info.

I assume you want replies from Americans?
 
I get all these alerts in messages on my phone.

If you mean ones using sound, of course not.
 
I get weather alerts, amber alerts, etc all on my phone. I do pay attention to all those.
 
I get extreme weather and amber alert on my phone thanks to at&t, it come standard.
 
I signed up reverse 911 call with my city and will get calls to warn me things but this is on my landline phone, I should try and have it on my cell phone instead .
