Is anyone an AOL member have their AOL monthly charge increase? I recovered mine did and I thought they overcharge me, So, I called and told them they made a mistake on withdraw too much out of my card carrier, And they stated that they raise up the monthly charge, I was like how come I wasn't notify first? They kept on apologizing to me, Forget that I decide to get cable connection now, I'm getting cable on Monday for my computer, I'm fed up with AOL taking advantage of me by increase the monthly charge without telling me first hand. I paid so much on this pieces of crap dial up connection and I don't like how I have to pay so much on dial-up connection.

If any of you have your increase, It's not worth it. Drop AOL whenever you have a chance. Just a friendly advice. ;)

Once you're on AOL, you're struck with everything you need from AOL.

You have become more fright to lose everything.

When you get cable modem on Monday and all set. Call AOL that you want it DISCONNECT and no discussion. My best friend kept call AOL to disconnect but they kept giving her free monthly. She is so fed up and told NO MORE, period! Since she have cable modem and why should she need AOL? So far she hasn't had problem. Whew! If they give you free month of AOL, tell them no thanks.

How much do AOl charge for each customer per month now? Last time, I remember it charged us about 21 dollars three years ago.

We currently use comcast which connect phone, cablevision and internet all together.

When I first started on AOL in 1990, my price was 28.99 and they increase 10.00 more. :( Everyone is different I don't know why, My dad had AOL, Only paid 23.99 but then he got rid of it last two years ago, is on cable connection. ;)

Yep, I did called the cable company and only providers in my hometown are Roadrunner or WOW, So I choose WOW cuz it was cheaper than Roadrunner. They are coming on Monday to hook 4Mbps High speed internet. I will get VP after they hook up my internet to high speed.

Cheri, also be sure to stick with the same screen name after you disconnect AOL. Your screen name will be the same, even the password. My AIM screen name has been the same since I disconnected AOL in 2000 and went high speed when I moved to Washington state.

All you do is download AIM and log on with the same screen name and password. I think...it's been 6 years so I hope I'm right.

Ok do I do that now or after they come?

You can do that now to be sure it works, otherwise you can do that when you get cable internet and download it from IE or firefox (whatever web browser you have). It's at www.aim.com.

We have AOL only because my wife likes it BUT they are not our main ISP; we have DSL with SCB. Since AOL knows we are "BOOA" (Bringing Our Own Access), AOL charges us something like 14.95 a month. I am okay with that. With SBC, I use I.E. and Safari browsers. I think we are paying 29.99 for SBC High Speed Internet.

Cheri, I bet your'e getting excited. Boy, wait till you see the difference in your speed!! U will never again have to take a nap between each click! :P
