Anyone take diet pills?

TrippLA, To let you know, military recurits do physical calithensics for 18 hours a day and graduate from boot camp in 90 days. I have never heard of a military recurit die from a heart attack from too much excersice. I have heard of military recurits dying from deyhydration, not much water to drink all day.
Military recruits are generally in basic good health when they first enlist. Also, they go thru physical exams when they enlist. Their exercise is monitored by trained professionals. I don't think TrippLA would be in the same situation.

Also, recruits DO die during basic training/boot camp, even with all those precautions. There have been deaths from heart attacks, heat stroke, dehydration, overexposure, exercise injuries, and drowning.

Maybe things have changed since I was in boot camp, but we never did 18 hours of physical exercise daily. We also attended classroom training on military history and regulations, NBC warfare safety, first aid, etc. We performed military duties, stood watch, cleaned barracks, did our laundry, shined shoes, etc.

My boot camp was nine weeks (63 days), not 90 days.

Maybe you're thinking about special forces training.

That is not a good system for weight loss.

Absolutely no pills.

First, go to your doctor and get a complete physical exam, to make sure that you have no other physical problems.

Second, get a diet plan from a nutritionist. Drink lots of water, and toss the junk food and soda.

Third, get an exercise plan from a trained physical therapist, sports medicine doctor, or personal trainer, or your doctor.

Fourth, remember you want to lose weight slowly, steadily, and build muscle strength, and endurance. You will need aerobic and anaerobic excercises.

Fifth, get involved in a sport so your exercise will include something interesting and challenging, with regularly scheduled practices and friends who will encourage you.

Sixth, get away from the computer, TV, and video games. Go outside, go for a walk.

NO PILLS, NO STEROIDS!

Hi Reba, I was thinking of U.S. Marine Corps boot camp. This is in San Diego, California.

TrippLA would have to follow his doctor's orders and do what he is supposed to do to lose weight. The diet pills that TrippLA wants to try out are nothing more than what is called " snake oil "

This is really the best way, or to follow the advice of a nutritionist. I would suggest that people see their doctor for a physical before they attempt any diet or exercise program. Also, if you're prone to eating disorders like I am, it is best to make sure you are emotionally and mentally ready to handle it before you undertake the endeavor of weight loss. Some people like myself, have gotten them into serious messes by NOT being able to mentally handle what they are trying to do.

What can seem like a good thing can turn into a bad thing very quickly if one is not able to handle it.

I think you can see on your linked schedule that the Marine boots are NOT doing calisthetics 18 hours per day. :)

It does not say when or how many hours but I do know they do physical calithensics continously all day to burn so much calories and enegry and become stronger, leaner, faster and more meaner.

Excuse me, I can drink in small amount of Pepsi cans, probably 2-3 per days and eat in small amount of junk foods, not chips, just like pies, cookies ad candies. Rest of large amount is regular foods like hamburger, seafood, Mexican foods, Italian foods and even more except for pizza and high oil in food.. I did lost around 2-3 lbs in one weeks then it's work.

Go re-read my post, I don't want take either of diet pills and steroids.

It does sound like you just want to yank our chains. Like Heath said, we're trying to offer you sound advice about a dangerous product. A product YOU asked about. Then, you get on Reba's case for offering good advise, and tell ME to shut up when you say something that could be considered nasty to her?

What's the deal, TrippLa? Is this a shoot the messenger situation? You take the advice from people you LIKE, but spout out at people who dislike? Well, hate to tell you bud, but, you post something on a forum, and you're gonna get differing opinions from a lot of people. Even people YOU DISLIKE!

Do us all a favor, TrippLa. GROW UP!

Well, I wasn't sure if want buy at first place then science teacher was warn to me that diet pills can cause alot of side effect, like heart attack and liver damage. I changed my mind about do thing to lost weights slower, also I agree with some members like Sweetheart that said if lost weights faster are not good, then I was changed my mind about exercise in regular time like sit-up and other things every night. I have no big deal with it then thanks to everyone for helping me. :)

Hi TrippLA, I think you need to take a real good look at post # 39 okay?
