They made a book and movie about that. I found a page on that and it says all of the claims are fake. It says:

* William Weber, lawyer for Ronald DeFeo, Jr., admitted in 1979 that he and the Lutzes had concocted the whole story of the haunting. The story was related to Weber's defense in court.
* Doors and windows show none of the claimed damage.
* Police records show that they were never called by the Lutzes.
* Descriptions of alleged psychic events did not match either the method or details of the actual murders.
* Father Pecoraro, who supposedly fled the place, later stated that he never saw anything in the house.
* Weather records show that there was no snow for the claimed hoofprints to be in.

When I was a kid, I thought I saw demons in my room at night. They were things like flying skulls, eels and ghost heads with robes. Now I know better.
I found a page on sleep paralysis and how it could make people think that there are demons or feel like they're floating out of their bodies. What kind of demon or being they think they see is influenced by the culture of the person.

Geez, no matter how old or smart we are, we are constantly learning something new.

the red lion pub, my fav is,, ressutction Mary, and Bachloer grove, and not sure which museum are haunted

OMG! No offend! the dumb things ever I've heard last person on earth who mentioned... You acts like the little girl talk to your parents to listen what you saw devils in sky on earth that you believed... I think you read C-O-M-I-C B-O-O-K too much!!

I think you can see everything include spirits and devil in air around.. but You know nothing about that..

all Good or bad people included christians also who already possessed the devils inside themselve since they were born on earth which your parent gave you this life you face it!

For me, Yes the actual fact that devil live inside me what i believed.. you too,, you can't denying it..
 
Hmmmm...if my home is haunted...yep. Back in 1976, the house we used to live used to have a little girl wandering and playing with me. It's not an imaginary friend since that girl dressed in 1800's style. My baby doll's eyes were flickering that time. Not only her, but there was a white fluffy cat and the large size face on the floor under the bed. Even a rat (we never had rats, only a few mice..jeez) stood and go :nana:

A white cat belonged to a neighbor who told us that cat of hers passed over a year ago before we moved in. :eek: She seemed so mellow and purring. Once she jumped off my bed, I tried to following and peeked under the bed, she's not there. :Ohno: I missed that fluffy furry cat. :D My mom told her what was going on because I was grabbing her and telling her that we had a white cat in our home. She thought I was just imagine it until this old neighbor told her. She freaked out. It goes to say that small children are able to see the spirits much stronger than older teen/adults. The way we can see spirits dimmer as we grow older. A few may be lucky.

Then this apartment I'm now living also have ghosts. White mist or fog whizzed past inside our home...A few tenants keep moving out and another new tenants moved in and then moved out soo quickly. They got spooked. They shouldn't let anything bother them. One told me because she got tired of a nosy long-coat male with a cowboy hat and long rifle walking around in her apartment. Hmmm...1800's? So he might be a dad of that little girl in the house on other street. Not far..just 4 blocks away from here. I just gonna ignore them around us. Like someone said, the spirits cannot disturb or able to go physical contact with living people. Nice to have conversation with some ghosts. "Do you want a cup of tea with a sugar cube in it, mister?" :D Gotta love 'em.
