Hello, many of you may know that I already left my last job and am currently dealing with workers compensation legal issues and would like hear from anyone of you who may have undergone this type of legal procedure.

Feel free contact me though PM, this applies ONLY those who already went though or undergoing same situation, or your attorney experiencing in that area (You have to prove me that your in fact an attorney before I could chat with you). This can lead to Videophone chat which I prefer for clarity and less misunderstanding.

I also wanted to thank those members of AD for helping me in the past and it was a big help and it is far from being over.

Please don't waste your and my time if your not member of AllDeaf long enough, or not actively participate in AllDeaf. If I see that you have low number of posting, or just joined here... I will ignore and will not respond back you, so please save your time if your newbie here by not respond anything. Remind you once again, I have keen sense of smell when it comes to scam or imposters, they smells worse than shyt!

My son-in-law last year was going thru Workers Comp for his leg that was amputated as a result of a work place accident. I'm sorry that I don't have details that might help you. I believe each state handles it differently and the compensation amounts also depend on the state. He lives in SC, so the laws are different. All I can say is be aware that most compensation is not so wonderful as some people think, both in amount and duration. If you can get a settlement beyond the insurance amount, that would be good.

One thing my SIL mentioned was that when it comes to settlement time he was given two choices. One, he could accept a lump sum with no further claims, or two, he could take a smaller lump sum but have life long medical coverage, including replacement prosthetic legs and therapy. He opted for choice two. In his contacts with other amputees he found out that the large lump sums are too easy to disappear, and medical "surprises" can, and probably will, happen as time goes by.

I hope your case goes well. Stay strong and patient.

That's not joke.

I messed up his thread when I was 18 years old and he gave me extremely scary message, so I had bad nightmare.

I learned my lesson, also you will too.

Death threats? :hmm: I will report it to FBI if it happens to me. No problem.

I've worked on filing such cases when I was interning at a law firm. Here's an interesting tip: ombudsmen generally frown on resolving a case without proper documentation. They have no real authority, to get around this, work directly with the company rep instead.

Well, my case is very well documented and I ended up won the case. Its still not over yet. These corps and attorneys are actually playing games around. Its all bullshyts because they playing to collect money instead of working in favor for me. How stupid they denied my coverage since almost three years. Now, they are going to pay much more than originally could have cost them and I would still have job. Its Insurance company that corrupts, sucks it had to happen.

Now I realize I wish I never support lawsuit caps, anyone sue for damage on and after 2007 won't see much award anymore. Even before 1981 would yield much bigger award. Not anymore.

Anyway, I created this thread intended to ask anyone who went though shyts like I have been though; contact me via PM. I don't want my case to turn into public.
