The only experience I've had with Myrtle Beach was when I went to see NASCAR race at Rockingham in 98 (or was it 99?)... anyways, we were in town for the whole weekend of racing and decided to go to MB and check it out. We only went to the NASCAR restaurant and a strip club, but it seemed like a cool place.
I know my family went there on a little trip for the beach, and they had a lot of fun. My brother in law who used to be bassist in blues band even got to play for fun with band at hotel and everyone enjoyed it. My family overall really liked their stay there, and probly 1 or 2 of them would say they'd like to live there.....
But, for answering your questions, I dont think my responses help much. What's wrong with where you live now Tweety? (Hmm.... just found where from old post you made) My personal feelings, MB has a good sized city around it. If you still live upstate NY (my brother-in-law grew up there and tells me it's like living in the country there), it may be too crowded for you, but then again, you might like crowded. It will surely be warmer and probly many tourists.
Hope I was some help.
