Last year, one of my good friends closed her FB account due to personal conflicts. Well, today, I got a post from her ....see this...

Alma XXXX Shelly XXXXX: (link removed) Is Working Online At Home The Next Gold Rush?[/url] $600 a day! lol :o) nice!

******DO NOT open this link***** but just copied and pasted here to see if anyone knows about this?

When I got it, I paged Alma asking her if she opened her account and is back on FB. She said no so I told her what happened.

Someone opened her account..I clicked on her name and saw her profile. It was the same one she had last year and that same link was sent to all of her friends. So, I spent the last 30 mins posting on all of her friends' walls warning them.

However, I have one question if anyone knows..if a spammer got into her account, would they have access to her private personal info and possible steal her identity?

Let me know...thanks!

Yeah, I have at least 3 of my friend's aim that was compromised before and sending me scamming IM's so I ended up blocking this sn since. It could be one of the reason - phishing, malaware, or trojan. After I blocked the sn, the scammer did im'd me and I was pissed off and told them to leave me alone or I can report to the FBI. They stopped bothering me since.

That's why I only have few applications on my FB and being cautious to what info I put in my page. And change password once a month is strongly recommended.
