Anime Convention

I recently went to this anime convention called "Project A-Kon 18".

In case you're wondering why it's named that way, here's a couple things to look at...

There's an anime title called, Project A-Ko.

It's an anime convention... or "anime con".
(It's like those other conventions: sci-fi con, Star Trek con, etc)

So, it's like saying... "Project Anime Con" or "Project A-Kon".

Anyway, the place is HUGE!

They've got small rooms where they have workshops on arts, stories, RPG, etc. They've got a huge dealer room where different companies from all over the world come to sell things. They have video game rooms, card game rooms, board game rooms, etc. They even have performances and a bunch of people dressing up in costumes.

I managed to take a few pictures of a few good-looking costumes. I'll post them soon.

They usually host it every year during the first (or second) full weekend of June.

Yep, that's Frank... or whatever his name is. Freaky!

Any of you ever watch an animated series called Invader Zim?

One of the characters is a tiny robot named Gir and his alter-identity is a cute little green puppy.

Well, this person created a HUGE version of this TINY character.

Yep, if you look carefully... you can see that this is almost 7 ft tall! Whew!

It's only $35 (give or take a few bucks depending on when you pre-register).

The earlier you pre-register, the cheaper it is.

I didn't pre-register (due to problems). So, I had to pay $55.

Yea that time, I was too poor, I don't work and have no SSI. That's why...

No. I lost my Sony digital camera before I went to the convention.
