Whew! It seems like this has been a nutty week. We didnt work a full 40 this week as I had anticipated, we were dismissed at 10:30 this morning, but it was nearly 12:00 before I got done with my spray-down and sanitizing because someone decided that it would be a wonderful time to change the order from breast meat in a lug to breast meat in a combo bin. I had to wait for 10 combo bins to be filled and knowing this from previous work at another poultry processor, I knew this would take a while to complete. The FINALLY got done, however I do not blame the guys that had to dump the breast meat into the combo, I blame our fill-in shift manager as she is the one that changed it.

I had a massive headache when I left work so I went by the pharmacy for some extra strength rapid release tylenol then I went home and laid down until aboout 2:30. Then I got up and picked my DD up from pre-school, then I came home and filled out a FAFSA *hoping* that I qualify for a Pell Grant. I plan on turning down any loans however because I dont want to be in debt up to my eyeballs when I finish the degree.

Tonight is the big rivalry game b/t Ola and Danville and Im going. This is going to be PACKED. I am taking my camera for some shots as I know there will be illegal moves made by both teams and bad calling by the refs.

Was the game going on well? Think the refs need more thicker glasses yet?

I used to hate that. Thinking that we are almost done chickens are clearing from the hangers. Then the team leaders would wheel in a few large bins.

I don't miss working at the processing plant.

yes it went on quite well but we left the game early as it was getting cold and my DD was complaining that she was on the chilly side. I took some pics, but everytime I tought I was going to get a good shot, some fool had to stand directly in front of me and talk and I missed a shot and a good play. Irritated the hell out of me. I wish I had a current press pass so I could get to the sidelines.

Ola never scored and we were being nice not to run up the score by sending in our 3rd and 4th string players in the 3rd quarter before we left.

The final score was 35-0 with Danville adding another 'W' to the record books.

Yes, I know the feeling all too well mate. It is even more irritating when you're working on a Saturday or over a holiday. Very very irritating indeed.
