This page says that Dr. David Penney of the University of Manchester found a piece of amber in the Dominican Republic that had a spider inside. They found what they called spider blood as little drops in the amber. It's really called hemolymph and is circulated in an open circulatory system by a heart through arteries into chambers around the organs and with no veins. They must have called it blood so people would know what they were talking about.
They measured the age of the spider's hemolymph and found that it's 20 million years old. He said that the positions of the body, legs and drops of hemolymph showed that the spider was climbing up a tree and got hit by and covered in resin and showed how fast the spider was going.
Wow this is a window of what happen one day 20 million years ago. Imagine all of the stuff that happened back then to individual entities we don't know about.
