As I understand matters-Easter predates Constantine by a few centuries. As for "isthar" being the source of Easter seems a odd that the "celebration" started back in the "first century" related to a very specific person-Jesus.
Not of course to intersect into "religious matters!"

Almost all Christian Holidays have a connection to pagan or other religious festivals.

That's not something that the church has ever "hidden" - in fact it's in every Christian history text and one of the first things Seminary students study.

Constantine was one of the people responsible for the merging of other faith/belief systems with Early Christian dates etc.

The idea was that the people would be more willing to embrace Monotheism and Christian beliefs if they could keep all their old celebrations and festivals ("re-wrapped" in Christian meaning).

I saw someone kind of debunk this, although the bunnies and eggs are for fertility and are pagan, just probably not Ishtar. She was explaining that so many of our Christian holidays still have pagan traditions along side them is because when Rome was going around conquering the world it was easier to get everyone assimilated if they could keep their own traditions just meld it to the Christian ones.

I prefer to celebrate Resurrection Sunday instead of Easter but I don't get in a tizzy if other people refer to the day as Easter. Most people who celebrate Easter today aren't thinking of, celebrating, or referring to Ishtar.
