AIM scam?

Someone imed me on aim earlier. I dont know who is this person. I added the sn when I caught the sn on aim this afternoon. I did ask the person "who are you". He said that his name was Richard Lee. He worked the Manager of Deaf Company. Richard said that my sn awards and approves $ 20,000.

OMG... I went to block his sn on aim immediately. Is anyone hearing of the Manager of the Deaf Company?

I researched it on google. I believe that it is scam. WATCH OUT for aim scam okay. It made me mad.
 
Its scam....he steals everyone's SN off from our buddy list to scam other about $$$

Tell that scammer you live in DC, and work for FBI building in Langley, VA. :)

old trick by social hacker. This method is called "social engineering".... infamously used by Kevin Mitnick.

ah, thats a super idea. i will do that. i got a several stranger ims. i should have said, "well i am a cop and husband is a fbi, how may i help you?" :giggle:
 
Scam! If you got strange screen name, won't accept to open!
 
I set my aim in private so no one cant im me or email me cuz i have set it in private. There imes wont go thru unless I added their names on my list.

Last nite a friend of mine imed to me and asking to borrow money but it doesnt sound right to me so I had to lies to her. Not only that the way I asked her questions about herself and it doesnt sound like her. Someone must have hacked into her aim. I am going to find out from another trust friend about her.

:werd: I also have my AIM buddy list set to private so I don't get weird people IMing me. Only family and friends can see me when I'm online.
 
I got AIM message from stranger man this morning. I don't know Mr Edward Wallace from the CIA Office California. He said that the new coming President Mr Obama say we most give all scammer deaf the sum of $50,000 each. He can send check of $50,000 to us but he request me to pay fee at $350 for DHL Express. he showed image of this check to me. I think that this check might be fake. I refused to pay fee for him instead of company. I know that he s scammer. I now blocked him in AIM. Do you know name of him?
