What makes you think they get welfare? Not all poor people get it. I've met poor people who aren't on welfare.

I didn't say welfare.

There are other benefits and services people get without being on welfare.

Reba: I'm not confused on terms. I just don't use that kind of language in my everday speak in the classroom. It's not helpful. It's not a caring classroom community. It serves no purpose. If you want to complain, you may certainly write to the Colorado Board of Education and challenge my qualifications as a teacher.

Hmm... Interesting. I was taught at my old school about illegal and legal immigrants and immigrants. But I didn't see those words as offensive or dehumanizing... I understood what they really mean. At the least, teachers do not sugarcoat too much on my classmate and me.

But it's interesting what your thoughts of immigrations. Hmm...
