What term is acceptable to use when describing a person who cannot hear or was born without the ability to hear?

what three terms are completely unacceptable to use when describing a person who cannot hear or was born without the ability to hear?

One simple sentence of instruction...

DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK!!!!!

Just accept us for who we are, period. You can not make us fully hearing like the hearing person. Simple as that. Get real!!!!!

It'll be ok to tell other people that a cat is deaf. Just don't use the word Deaf yet. Right now as I type here, there is no Deaf Culture where deaf/Deaf cats can get together to share Culture value. So therefore, a cat can be labeled as deaf. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Not exactly correct, but I can not give you to make you correct it as this OP is trying to get some homework out of it. She or he need to read some of our threads to learn about our deafness and she or he can decide what she or he want to write down for homework.

I already gave you that answer in another thread. :(

You still did not get it, yet. :(

I'm not going to do your homework for you but here's a clue:

What is the title of this forum?

It isn't AllHearingImpaired.

You would have had better questions to work with if you took Italian instead...

I don't know any deaf cats that have labeled themselves as Deaf. I wonder if putting together all deaf cats would make them Deaf and be able to identify with Deaf Culture values and customs. Right now, they have cat nips and cat tree houses. They need a Deaf Culture.

I read that dogs can be taught sign commands. Can cats learn commands too?

If they have Deaf owners who share them with other Deaf pet owners who use sign commands, and their Deaf owners give them a sign name, won't that include them into Deaf culture?

They will only be able to understand signed commands.
Spoken commands will be ignored.

They can sit on the fence by the alley in the light of the moon, and sign to each other all night. :giggle:

Neither hearing cats nor deaf cats can be taught commands, either spoken or signed.

The cats refuse!
