A Sad Decision for Me

I cant imagine to give up three cats and a dog. It will break my heart rest of my life. I watched three cats eat their food last night, they are so so cute to eat together in one bowl with tails fur. I love them to death !

Hope, your sister would take a good care of Tigger for you.

Kalista,

My sister has taken care of Tigger before when I was hospitalized for my bipolar, so I know she will do a good job on a permanent basis whenever that day comes. :)

Hear Again,

I am not real familiar with the Guide Dog program. Will you have to wait until you retire Tigger completely before getting your new dog. If so, how long will you need to wait after Tigger's retirement before your new dog is available? How old is the dog when you get it. I know they have families who take in guide dogs as puppies to help them become socialized, trained to some extent, etc.

I could train with a guide dog immediately, but prefer not to since bringing a new dog into my home would be unfair to Tigger since she was here first and is already 12 years old. The wait for training usually takes about a month. As far as the age of my new guide dog is concerned, they usually range in age from 16 months to 3 years. If you would like an older dog, you can request one. If you'd like a younger dog, you can request that as well.
