yeppers. That is totaly true.

irony, my hearing kids would wake up if i make very quiet in the house in morning. They are so use to my ways being noises in order to make my kids feel secure. :giggle:

True!

In the work places we don't have to hear craps or gossips amongst the hearing co-workers... several of them mentioned me how lucky I was that I can understand. lol That's another blessing being deaf.

lol, nice humour, but i dont think this REALLY reflect reality, viberations Do annoy/distract deaf people but its still a nice thoughts though, even i disagree in as a whole, i still liked this picture, great humour, heck the first thing i notice in the toon, and that I can't help thinking, is that plasticine puppetry film from UK, "Chicken Run" :)

I agree being Deaf is a blessing.

LOL

my friend at college is always laughing at me because I can choose I want to or not to liste to and she cant not listen

At night I wouldn't mind at all just to turn off everything :D

Hate those stupid motorcycles (traffic in general) and my neighbors making noise at night!!!!

Unforunately I can't... :( too bad. LOL

ETA: Oh I also hate stupid clocks ticking at night!!!! :mad2:

Thanks Jiro. That is exactly why I see my deafness as a blessing.

You have to be joking! I felt horrible when I did not hear my baby crying
in the middle of the night as she was hungry! And she was sleeping right next to my bed! A friend did hear my baby and fed her. I was almost attack by a dog as I could not hear him growling at me , I was lucky my sister and the owner of the dog was there! I do NOT see my deafness as a blessing!
I am so happy my daughter is NOT HOH or deaf!

i wouldn't blame it on deafness. being deaf, i just become more aware of my surroundings, and ensure that i have technology equipment such as vibrating baby crier, etc. we don't need to depend on hearing people.

My thoughts also.

 That rings so true.

There are times that a lot of co-workers would be telling me "Oh, You're so lucky you can't hear this, blah blah blah".

I just smirk right away and say "Darn right, I'm glad I don't have to hear all this shit."

sounds like you're late deaf. I don't blame you. Thousands of deaf parents have managed well. We've adapted along with enhanced senses and technological assistance tools. We've adapted so well that the benefits greatly outweighs the cons!
