This looks like a phishing scam that is using Western Union to entice you to trust them with your info. This is bogus right off because I dont have bank account and Western Union doesnt require a bank account to use their services.

Heres the email I just received:

Dear Western Union Member,
While doing a routine check, we noticed that your westernunion profile does not match the profile your bank has on file.
We understand that you may have changed your billing address, phone number or credit card information. However, we need you to update your westernunion profile in order to be eligible for using our services.

To complete the verification process you must fill in all the required fields.

Please Note: If your account information is not updated within the next 24 hours, your account will become inactive. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for using westernunion.com

Best regards,

The link in the email is also bogus - hovered over it and it links to x-cat.com - which is a hacker site I believe.

I REPEAT DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS IN THIS MESSAGE - mods - please deactivate the links in this thread to make sure no one ends up giving up personal info by mistake.

:ty:

:hmm: that's a common way of scam. None of serious business firms send such mails.. and most of such mails contain English errors.
