A little accident happened today

I agree with Dennis-- the vibrations would naturally loosen up the bolts.
When was the last time his truck has been taken to the shop -- to replace a tire or something?

A lot of car shops forgot to tighten the tires. One of my friends' Jeep lost its wheel while being on a freeway because the lugs weren't attached *fortunately there were no damage to his Jeep or tire-- it just ROLLED OFF!! The shop did the tightening job for free with a discount for next visit for the Jeep's tires-- but my friend didn't go back to that shop !* I have heard PLENTY of stories where the car shop didn't tighten it enough, forgot about it all, et cetera. But never anything near dangerous as your boyfriend;s truck went through!

:-(

He bought 4 brand new tires and new rims right after Thanksgiving.. so that was the last time.

Thank you all for the great comments!! My fiance seems to be feeling alittle better today.. He's not as upset as he was last night. I think he realized that he's not hurt. It could have been worse.

yea rebelgirl talked me on aim sk2 and asked me if i have read here. i say no til she explained, i was :jaw: i am glad that he is okay! whew!

:Ohno: OH RebelGirl, I am so sorry to hear about your boyfriend's truck. Thank God he is alright. He must have been so shaken up when this happened!! At least he can get his truck fixed, and your fiancee is doing well. God bless, and I hope tomorrow is a better day.

:-o

I'm so glad your fiance is all right, I hate when that happens. I remember when my dad's truck ended up like that but worst, his truck get damaged when his tires blow.

it didn't blow.. it just flew off.. scary though.. everytime that happens with the tire blowing out in front is always dangerous.

He was shaken up, he just panicked and was confused on what he was suppose to do. Today has been better! His truck is his baby... he's "sad" that there is damage on the truck..

Which good thing, you're still much alive as your bf does..
Worth for bodily safe than happends..

Just happends itself happends woobling wheels.. can be agreed w/Dennis' comment.

Oh dear but pleased to know he is ok.

I remember I went in my ex's car driving around the british countryside and we feel vibrator in his car and was about to slow down to stop to find out more, but the front wheel come off itself and all I can see is a flaming fire sparking out of the front wheel and he tried to brake up to stop the car, and lucky he went down further to pick up the tyre and we search everywhere for the nut bolts and we only found 4, and drive home with it temporary, as he said it was his younger brother changed the tyre wheel recently but he was not doing his job properly to keep the nuts tight and securely enough.
