Man charged in double killing.....
A Cuyahoga Falls man was indicted Tuesday on two counts of aggravated murder accusing him of fatally shooting two women. Joel Rhoten's former live-in girlfriend, Katherine Kube, 42, of Stow and her sister, Karen Mallory, 45, of North Royalton, were preparing an estate sale June 11 at their mother's Cuyahoga Falls home when Rhoten shot them, police said. Kube's 9-year-old son escaped unharmed and called police. Rhoten is also charged with two counts of attempted aggravated murder for shooting at the two police officers who arrived at the home. The officers shot Rhoten in the chest, shoulder and leg. Rhoten, 33, was being held Tuesday in Summit County Jail under a $2 million cash bond. Kube had filed two complaints with Stow police in May claiming that Rhoten threatened her. After the second complaint, Rhoten was arrested for domestic violence. He was out of jail on bond at the time of the shootings.
I knew Karen Mallory of North Roylaton.. I used to live in North Roylaton 8 yrs ago and at that time I knew her and she used to Come over our apt. she worked with my ex.. After finding out her real name I was shocked to find out it was her she was the sweetest Person You ever know.
I am so Upset that she was murdered, how can someone murdered someone like her? She used to work at the Apt. (Dover Farms apt.)( and I live there too) with my ex that how I knew her. She had breast Cancer a year and half ago and survived. and Now this..
