9-year-old runaway sneaks onto 2 flights

Apparently he want to stay at his grandpa's house.. they moved from Texas to Wash.. Poor momma has to go thru with his behavior! Gosh...


amazing that a 9 years old boy TRICK to these people on flights until the switch over Thank god they figure something out wasn't right!

The boy's mother, Sakinah Booker, told The News Tribune he dislikes the neighborhood where the family lives and is afraid of a sex offender who lives nearby.

"He does not like it here at all," she said.

The mother should think about her children, they are her first priority, if the boy is afraid like the mother says because of a sex offender who lives nearby, then she should move to a safer area where her children could feel safe and secure. ;)

I cannot say I blame the 9 years old for running away, he got tired of waiting to move, he was afraid so, I do understand his feelings and do not even blame him at all. ;)

I'm w/you agreed secondly!
as long the child feel security safety and all want staying his grammy's place than mother's home area which feel not safe place surrounding!
 
Well maybe the mother couldn't afford to move at that time, since it cost money to move, second, there's a couple of sex offenders around my block from where I live, I'm not going to move because of that, cause no matter where I live or move at, there's will be sex offenders anywhere...We don't like in a safe world anymore, all we have to do iis teach our children about sex offenders and where they are at, and also try our hardest to keep an eye on them when they're outside....But IF I live next door to one, oh sure, I'll move in a heartbeat....

I agree there.

What I didnt like about the article is that they kept calling the boy a young man. At 9 years old, he is a young man???
 
That is hard to believe that a little boy at that age sneaked on the plane and traveled different states! He sure is a very brave boy! wow!
 
that boy sure have problems...

the least he could do is ask for help. :roll:

I can understand what you mean... It look like that they label in formal and manner way like this. Yes I'm agree that they should say "9 years old boy" or "young child" instead of "young man or young adult." Oh well...

Yeah, I agree w/you secondly..
So many people are tend call'n you... so many different wording... proprite manner speak.. Directly to the child as young man or young boy or other word whatever you say it.. unless you feel comfortable to speak out.
 
You would think with all the Homeland Security at the airport, a kid should not have slipped past security but then again, that kid was not very comfortable at home and it is about time, his mother moved to a different place where her children truly do feel safe. He was more comfortable over at his grandfather's house. I sure hope his mother wakes up to that fact and does the right thing by moving where her children really feel safe.
 
I can't blame 9 years old boy who is unahppy in Seattle, Washington and wanted to escape!!! He knows something would be happening there so he had to avoid.. But BUT>>>>>> why his mother does not believe him with his feeling instead of neglect his feeling??? Maybe he feed up with his mother who does not believe him???
