6 figures to be "middle class" in NYC!

Nice but in my area is ugh, nothing so much at late night, however I know Waffle House, Whataburger and Krystal are open all night but Taco Bell and KFC are open at late night for Fri-Sat, exception of Waffle House, all of them are around 15-20 mins away from my workplace but not worth to go here, I hate Waffle House, anyway.

lol Waffle House. The "Trucker's diner" For some odd reason - that place scares me. I feel like it's a place where the sickos & predators gathered at nite.

Yup, it's true and their food is very greasy.

Sorry for off-topic.

:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2: true that. There are only 3 pizza places in NYC at certain location that I go to. Very DELICIOUS and HUGE.

Only 3 out of few thousands? :laugh2: I think more stores and more density makes a city very expensive to live.

:laugh2: a few thousands = CRAP! It took me several years to find just 3!! :laugh2:

that can be the factor but to be more accurate - it also depends on the proximity of "hot places" such as Madison Square Garden, Times Square, Central Park, etc. For example - in Brooklyn or Bronx, it is a high density and there are many stores but it's all mostly "shoddy" stores, thrift shops, etc. That's why it's cheap to live in there.

Yea, that must be a long time to find the right pizza joint as most of them are greasy, medicore and low quality rat infested pizzas.

Yeah, my grandma used to live in Flushing neighborhood in Brooklyn area. There's tons of brick apartment buildings and the area looks sort of run down and there's barely trees in sight, too.

Flushing is now Korean/Chinese-dominated  and yes it does look run-down.

Wow, it is dominated by Korean/Chinese? Wow, it changed since the 90's the last time my Grandma moved out to live with my parents since her health was deloriating.

I think it depends on certain area of Flushing. Perhaps your grandma lived in area that's mostly Caucasians but I wouldn't know for sure. I don't know Flushing very well but it's mostly known for heavy density of Korean-Chinese.

Neither I do. It might be possible, though. I believe that area was one of the cheapest to live for elderly people, a big difference from being in NYC and nearby.
