16/Hearing/NY; glide

Hey everyone! My name is Joe and I am very interested in sign and the deaf community. However, here in upstate NY, there aren't many deaf people with whom to connect :(
I would like to meet some new people and hopefully practice asl.

"Upstate" can be a huge area. What area specifically are you in? The Capital District, Glens Falls, Saratoga regions have regular Deaf meetups. Of course if you're near Rochester NY there's PLENTY of opportunities.
 
I live a half hour from Rochester, but since I am 16 and in school, it isn't very easy to get there.
 
I am also hearing and would love to practice ASL with someone over Skype or glide. I am 16 as well.
