Twelve-year-old Isabella "Bella" Oleschuk went missing early Sunday morning from her home on Derby Avenue near Mapleview Drive in Orange, Conn.

UPDATE: As of Sunday evening, the FBI has arrived and is setting up a command post in the Temple Emanuel parking lot. Many of the fire fighters have left the scene, and CERT is gone as well. According to an updated report on Orange Patch "Now it's in the FBI's hands."

After a long day of searching Sunday, the Asst. Police Chief issued a statement late Sunday saying the police received a call from Bella's parents at about 8:18 a.m. Sunday morning that she was missing from her home.

Police did a brief search of the home and found no signs of foul play but will work all angles and will not stop looking for Bella until they find "some kind of resolution."

Bella wears a hearing aid which she does not have with her. She may have difficulties hearing searchers calling out to her.

The Lieutenant on duty contacted CT state police for their K-9 Patrol to search the area. The area behind her home is a wooded area which was searched with K-9s and a blood hound not long after that.

Orange Police, fire departments, and state police are all searching for Bella. Search teams consisting of State Police K-9s are involved in the search.

Earlier in the day rescuers headed back into the woods to continue searching for Bella after they finished staging at Temple Emanuel off of Derby Avenue, Orange Patch reported.

Bella has been missing since early Sunday morning and searchers have been scouring the streets and woods for any sign of her. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) have joined in the search and are working to find her before dark.

Police are also in contact with the FBI who are speaking with their detectives.

Police are asking if anyone has any information about Bella's whereabouts to call police at 203-891-2130.

Gagne said he was "thrilled" to make the announcement. Gagne said the FBI, police and a medic going are going to check on her well being.

Gagne said Isabella left home of her own accord and was with a friend.

Isabella, a seventh grader, was reported missing Sunday morning.

Her disappearance sparked a massive search that included dogs as well as an FBI helicopter and an airplane.

A deaf girl who had been missing for four days without her hearing aid was found on Wednesday hiding in the garage of an old church stand.

Isabella Oleschuk, 12, of Orange, Connecticut, had been alone since running away early Sunday and gave police no indication why she did it.

She went off with a backpack and blanket and had been surviving on Pop Tarts, granola bars and juice. She didn't, however, take her hearing aid with her.

The stand is about three miles from her home.

Her disappearance sparked a huge team hunt police firefighters, teams of police cadets, the FBI, diver teams and volunteers.

An airplane, a helicopter and K9 teams joined the search effort.
Isabella told her rescuers she did not know that anyone was looking for her.

She was found after a woman, who did not want to be named, spotted a blonde head pop up in the disused stand.

Isabella's father Roman Oleschuk, a firefighter in West Haven, Conecticut, thanked all of the law enforcement agents and civilian volunteers who searched for his daughter. 'Isabella comes from a loving, supportive family that is raising her with Christian core values,' Roman Oleschuk said during a news conference at the Orange Police Department. 'They took time away from their families to help ours.'

Officer Jude Fedorchuk, who was dispatched to the farm stand, said Isabella came out and identified herself.

She said: 'She was very quiet. She had a backpack with her and a blanket, and she told me that she had brought Pop Tarts, granola bars and juice. I asked her if she realized that people were looking for her, and she said she did not.'

The girl was returned home after being taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for evaluation.

Mr Gagne said he 'couldn't corroborate at this time' reports that Isabella had been the target of bullying.

Awww, now that we find out she's being bullied, perhaps the bullying has gotten so bad that she resorts to running away to get away from it all. I hope the family is able to work this out with some counseling and perhaps have the girl transfer to a new school.
