My coworker bought new FULL HD LCD and Toshiba HD-DVD last year.

What does this have to do with HD-DVD? HD-DVD movies are 1080p, the $500 Toshiba player is 1080p.

If you see "HDTV" it mean not true HD since it's 1080i and 720p. Full HDTV and HDTV are not same, More than 95% people in USA who dont know about between Full HDTV and HDTV. Sad?

1080p is available already but over-the-air is not ready for 1080p yet.

Some don't:

Mine is Full 1080p HDTV. It's not cheap.

720p/1080i HDTV are cheaper nowdays.

Alot of video games (xbox 360/PS3) output 720p/1080i... and very rare output full 1080p. Disappointed me though.

Most movies Blu Rays/HD DVD are 1080p Full some are not depending on their aspect ratio.

Yeah very sad that people are going for cheaper HDTVs. Of course the world now are costly with gas increase prices and all poops like that.

Highlander, I had found that your other thread got locked because you are probably call other member's name or got issue from other member (like Banjo) to make request to lock other thread up.

For me, I own 720p LCD HDTV that's not full HD, also I prefer to set anything on 720p, for Xbox 360 and PS3. If I get Wii in later then I will set on 480p as well.

I had found that 1080i is better for CRT based HDTV but I have diffcult to make convert from 1080i into 1080p because 1080i is shitty on LCD HDTV, like when I played RR7 on 1080i via PS3 and looks so horrible then I changed to 720p and everything are perfect.

I refuse to get CRT based HDTV because feeds more electricity and make my eyes to strain, also CRT based computers are different from CRT HDTV. I had found that none of 1080p are released on CRT HDTV and only released on LCD, Plasma and DLP.
