Actually, you can still get kazaa for free. http://www.oldversion.com/, pick the kazaa lite version becuase that one doesn't have any spywares or adwares at all, it's much better than the regular kazaa.

bit torrent's very reliable, I've been using it for more than a year now and I love it. the only downside to it is that u have to watch for the new files, because when a new file comes out, there are more people that dl it thus more bandwidth that is being used. Commonly you can dl faster...
