I am fairly certain they do now! I know that courses are offered in visual merchandising in vocational/technical colleges now.
But this was 30 years ago, and I was hired as a store's assistant manager. The manager discovered that I had a talent for decorating and allowed me to do a lot of...
My high school senior picture - taken in Aug of 1977. I graduated high school in June of 1978. I was 17 years old. The wedge hair style was called the "Dorothy Hamill" after the 1976 Olympic gold medal winning figure skater. She in her "famous" hairstyle is pictured here:
Thank you so much! :ty: (you don't think that the bifocals, the gray hair, and the wrinkles give me away?!?!) LOL!
I AM a grandmother - six times, so far! LOL!! (I think the one in the middle picture looks a lot like me! Mini-Me! She is 10 years old. And the one in the top picture is our...
WOW! I see some incredibly beautiful and/or handsome people here! What an attractive bunch!
This is me, with one of my six glorious grandchildren.
and with another glorious grand-darling:
I will turn 50 years old this August.
right now, I'm doing a whole lot of NOTHING! (BORED!!!)
For a while I was a certified nutritionist while studying to become a naturopathic physician. However, since learning that my daughter is gradually becoming deaf, I have changed course. I would LIKE to be trained to be a 'terp...
I feel bored, lonely, and isolated, ALL THE TIME!
I have been unemployed for years now. I have no car to get to a job, and no job to afford car payments. So, I sit at home, all day long, bored to tears and frustrated to death!! I'm very isolated, without a way to leave my home and engage...
COMPASSION is of the heart, and the heart communicates more clearly than any other form of language - whether oral or gestural. Go into your life led by your compassion and it will take you wherever you want to (or are meant to) go!

THANK YOU ALL so much for your very warm welcomes! It's such a pleasure to meet such wonderful, amazing, inspiring people!!
I think my daughter is the one who told ME about this site, so hopefully, she is planning on joining herself, too. :D
my son's children have had various surgeries to improve their hearing - tubes to drain fluids, etc. At this time, none of them is considered to need any special accommodations. They will be monitored for future hearing loss, due to my daughter's gradually increasing deafness.
