Maybe because I can get my point across with speech she doesn't think I need voicing. People can understand me a little but not THAT much. Maybe that's why. I guess if you can voice fine then they don't expect you to need that. Like I said though, we only have 2 and neither is certified.

She isn't certified none of the terps at my school are.

Can't you tell them you are deaf and you are having hard time finding? Also isn't new technology better so like all medical professionals use the vital signs machines?

I think that's what soceity thinks too if you have good speech then you can hear. It's funny my friend speaks and they say ohh I didn't know you were deaf and then I speak they stare at me :giggle:

Why is there shame on the deaf or hard of hearing who speak like a hearing person? Must you have the so called "accent"..does that make you look more hearing than deaf? "It shouldn't".:roll:
