South Carolina scientist works to grow meat in lab

MSF! Mmmmmmmm...yummy! Have you tried Quorn? While I favor MSF, some of the Quorn stuff is better. I like their Chick'n Nuggets best. :cool2:

    Can't find kitty :(

The white light is a protective device. It is used to help keep any "body" it is wrapped around safe from harm. I use it on people and animals (only with permission), and even my own car when in bad traveling conditions. Your other babies are very cute!

    Can't find kitty :(

:aw: What a sweetie! Will you allow me to visualize her surrounded by a white light?

    Can't find kitty :(

My grandma would have told you to think of Sophie with a white light all around her, and see her back home again in her favorite spot, or in your lap. If that doesn't go against your religious practices, give it a try. It can't hurt! Yes, we do love our pets! Even the doggies! :giggle:

    Can't find kitty :(

Ooooh! The dryer is a very good point! They like it there because it's very warm. But it is also dangerous! Keep a close eye on the dryer when you use it!

    Can't find kitty :(

I am so sorry this has happened to you. :tears: Check inside the house in places like drawers, unused showers, boxes, under aquariums, in bookshelves, under stairs and beds. Seriously, look in the couch as well. Some cats like to hide there and find it fun, and "safe" feeling. My little cat...

South Carolina scientist works to grow meat in lab

My husband is in the sciences, and he has been talking about this for a while now. I think it sounds pretty creepy at the beginning. Food "manufactured" in a lab?!?!?! But how can it be worse than Twinkies?!?!?! We eat those and, while they're not good for us, we're not growing a second head...

    this is one Smart DOG!!

This dog used problem solving skills to get what he wanted. Yeah, so-called "lower" animals are usually a lot smarter than humans generally give them credit for. This video doesn't surprize me at all. My sister's Pit Bull watches dogs on Animal Planet, and when they run to the right, he runs...

    Students Looking for ASL buddies

Hi Brygida! Thanks. I think I'm getting it figured out. I'm pretty slow with computers, and for me it's mostly an issue of just sitting down and taking the time to learn what to do. I get frustrated easily and then I have to walk away. I just have to remember that I need to keep coming...

Indiana Girl's National Anthem Rendition Draws Flap

I am a hearing person, and I listened to it. I know a little bit about music; I played saxophone in my Junior High School band, sang in my High School choir, and now I sing in my church choir. I don't know what all the fuss is about. She's not a "great" singer, but she's a kid! Besides, I've...

    Students Looking for ASL buddies

Late last night I downloaded Skype so I could sign with others, and I don't yet know exactly what to do with it :eek3: (I'm mostly computer illiterate). My name there is kamama62 if anyone wants to add me and I'll try later today to figure it out. Thanx!

    Dyscalculia and ASL Class

Reba: No, I have not yet discussed this with my instructor. I'm trying as much as possible not to rely on it. I haven't even registered for it with Student Support Services. It does not affect my ability to take regular tests or do general assignments. Although I do get lost quite often in the...

    Dyscalculia and ASL Class

I've recently been diagnosed with Dyscalculia, which some here know, messes with your ability to distinguish left from right, and understand the layout of things; maps, buildings, rooms, etc. I get lost so easily I haven't even gotten embarassed by it in decades! My problem is that I've got...

Do Dogs Need Sweaters When It's Cold?

Tonight's temps are dipping down into the single digits, with wind chills below zero. Chicago TV stations are telling folks to bring outdoor pets inside, and don't let indoor pets stay out very long. Sweaters help them stay out till they actually finish what they need to do!

    What's your dinner tonight?

Do we have these things in common too?!?! :laugh2: I'm not vegan, but I am a vegetarian and sometimes eat vegan things. My husband is also not vegetarian, but plays well with me at the dinner table. :giggle: Tonight I had a baked potato with butter and sour cream, and a big crunchy salad...

    Nova Soctia, Canada

OMG!!! Nova Scotia is my favorite place in the world!!! Okay, I've never been to any other "foreign" country. But never mind that! I have been around Canada a bit. My husband and I went in 2006, and I keep telling him that we're going to move there when he retires! We're going back in 2012...
