    Differences between SEE/PSE/ASL

As far as the different signing systems in America, there are more than three, but all systems can basically fit into those three main categories. There are some that are "in-betweens." SEE: This includes SEE 1 and SEE 2. I always get them confused, but one means Signing Exact English and the...

Sick and ungodly act news and misusing

I can't believe that being gay is a worse sin than killing someone in his eyes. I think he just secured his own place in hell.

i just need a few friends

What do you mean you can't do ASL simultaneously? In interpreting? Oh, how rude of me... :welcome:  :D

    How do you sign...

I'm guessing the STAR with B-Hands is just more of an English rendering. The flicking of the 8-Hands might have something to do with the green circle... There is a woman on it that has a crown with a star on top of it; maybe it has something to do with the twinkling of stars/crowns? Logo

    How do you sign...

That's the one! Just instead of the 1-Hands, you use B-Hands. Looks kinda strange, but thankfully it doesn't come up often.

    Hello

Well, it can be sticky. Being fluent in ASL won't mean that you can interpret. It helps, but it is not what it's all about. If you were a CODA, you would probably do well on the RID test (If you grew up interpreting for your folks a lot). At the college I took my IPP, it was technically...

    Deaf Culture topics

Yeah, that's definitely easy to do! I'd say re-post your question under a different bulletin. (I just recommended "Our World, Our Culture" to someone else, and I think that's the best fit for your question) Is your program a 2 or 4 year?

    Hello

Well, I took 2 years of ASL classes at a community college (1 & 1/2 of them complete BS where we would re-learn material we already covered in Intro to ASL in ASL 2), then took a 2 year Interpreter Preparation Program. Where are you located? Which school? Looking at an Associates or...

Immigrating to U.S. becomes much costlier

Yeah, sucks huh? There are laws in place to avoid such things from happening, but there are also speed limits too. Just because someone may or may not be watching all the time doesn't mean they will be enforcing the law fully.

    Grr!!

I don't know what she was expecting, but I'm guessing she was looking for advice, not abuse from someone who is out of touch with emotions in general, not just "typical woman/broad" emotions. And yes dear, if it does become harassment, you can have him banned from the store. Talk to your...
