I was at Navy Pier in Chicago few weeks ago and this old lady with nice looking clothes came to us twice with ABC cards. We were tempted to sign to her, "get a real job!" But we were too nice, we declined the ABC card and kept on walking. Deaf peddlers degrades deaf people's image. That's sad.

I agree that there is no difference in amount of gossiping within both worlds. Although, I noticed that gossip in deaf world are more brutal than hearing because deaf people tend to use the gossip in harmful ways compared to hearings. Just my 2 cents! :wave:

Agreed! I ditched my sidekick recently because it is too heavy, bulky, lack of durability, download fee, and many more reasons. I recently bought Treo 600 and I am 98% satisified with it!!! The 2% was for no email included from tmobile (have to use sms... i.e. #########@tmomail.net) and smally...

Those suit are common today at high school and college competitions. It has been around for few years and it was widely used during past couple summer olympics. My brother has one and it works very well for him.

Umm, why don't you make it easier on the clerk, customers, and yourself by just showing your ID? It just puzzles me on how people would whine and fuss if things are not perfect or just do not go their ways. Which waste more energy.... showing ID or throw a tatrum?

It really bothers me that some deaf people do not know how to treat each other with respect and it affects the reputation of deaf community. :-(

I do have a teacup poodle! Actually, it is my mom's dog we called him Pooh. We all have to be careful with him because he can be stepped on easily. Few years ago my mom accidently stepped on him and broke his rib. Now he's all fine. Why did you ask? You got one too?
