VRS rules about who can use VP?

The account holder (who does have to be hoh/deaf/SI doesn't have to be the one placing the call. I'm guessing it was just a dropped call - it happens.

Is this for a homework assignment?

    Advice and tips?

I'd definitely skip using The Joy Of Signing as a resource - it's so outdated at this point it's practically useless. Random House has a decent ASL dictionary however I'd suggest using an online video dictionary (aslpro.com) as you can actually see the signs being formed that way.

    A question.

I guess I should mention that in addition to being born totally deaf on my right side and having progressive HL on the other as well as APD, I also have osteoarthritis in my neck, back, shoulders, hips, knees, and fingers (and have since my early 20s) and a number of other medical issues. I...

    A question.

What makes you unable to work? Lots of people were born hoh/deaf or acquired it from illness in early childhood. Lots of people have PTSD and still work Lots of people will develop arthritis when they're older I don't really see any of these as reasons you shouldn't be able to be employed and...

How does it feel to be asked for "expert" feedbacks?

Because anyone who actually is an expert in their field looks at those "ask an expert" questions and just laughs!

Do deaf people "hear" sounds in their heads?

FMRIs can sometimes do this ... however results are often "iffy" because of neuroplasticity where language, sound processing and other related "hearing part of the brain" are located can differ - especially if someone is born deaf or has a neurological components to their hearing (CAPD/APD/brain...

    I hate advanced bionics

How is this an AB issue? In fact I bet if you are low income and contact AB or your Audie they'd even have options to help cover the cost of the batteries. You may also be able to appeal the lack of coverage with an LMN etc. Most of us go through about that amount in Hearing Aid batteries over...

    Help about becoming Switzerland citizenship?!

If this is confusing to you, it's a very clear sign that you aren't ready for adult things like moving to a different country, dating, marriage etc. If you're living with your parents they DO have the right to make you clean your room, do chores etc... you're living in THEIR home as an adult -...

    Help about becoming Switzerland citizenship?!

WakeyNicole I'm going to give you some very important advice. If you listen to only one thing posted here listen, and understand this. If you are in a poor, or abusive relationship with your parents the worst thing that you can do is leave that relationship (with your parents) and become...

    Help about becoming Switzerland citizenship?!

See and I'm the opposite. I was functioning as an adult long before the government said I was. While I was still in high school I was attending classes, working, teaching, being a nanny and helping take care of my family. Turning 18 (or 21) doesn't magically make someone an adult or grown...

    Help about becoming Switzerland citizenship?!

being 18 doesn't make you an 'adult' - it makes you legal. Being an adult is about being responsible, being able to take care of yourself, and being self-sufficient. If you're 18 and don't have a clue how to find a job, or get your own place etc., you're just a teen who the government has...

    Help about becoming Switzerland citizenship?!

Don't even consider moving until you've known him for at least 6months to a year. Honest - don't bother "planning" or even thinking about it until you've been "dating" for at least 6 months. Relationships - especially for someone who is 18 and very naive - come and go. He could be "the...

    Help about becoming Switzerland citizenship?!

What will you do for work? What is your job training etc? Do you have enough money saved up for all your expenses etc? You can't just "move to a country" with no money, no job, no job skills etc and shack up with some guy you don't even really know (online is nothing like real life) ... that's...
