    argggghh!

set, I'm really sorry about this. cdmeggars and deafdude both have good suggestions about what you can do the next time you fly. To make your hearing aid even more secure when traveling, you might want to put it in a Tupperware container with a snap on lid to make sure there is no chance of it...

Hearing aids aren't like glasses for those who are deaf.

This is one of the reasons why I chose to get CIs. I couldn't understand speech in quiet either, but background noise was also a challenge. Hearing in background noise tends to be one of the major drawbacks to hearing aids and generally people with milder losses (meaning mild or mild-moderate)...

Do You Still Drink Chocolate Milk?

What I do to get around this is to use Hershey's syrup. It took me some experimentation, but after awhile, I was able to find the right amount to make chocolate milk that doesn't taste too sweet, etc.

Is anyone with a hearing impairment considered "deaf"?

dreama, I am not going to have this discussion with you. Babyblue is dealing with a new situation right now and it is not fair to compare her situation to mine. Furthermore, do not claim that it is easier for one person than another because there are plenty of congenitally totally blind...

Is anyone with a hearing impairment considered "deaf"?

I agree. Being deaf or blind 90% of the time is not the same as being deaf or blind 100% of the time. At the same time, being totally deaf for part of one's life is not the same as being totally Deaf from birth. Dreama still has some residual vision (even if she may not be able to use it most...

Is anyone with a hearing impairment considered "deaf"?

bad mood or good depend emotion

Travis, I write in a mood journal and create mood charts (at moodtracker.com) myself for my psychiatrist and therapist to look at. They both find them very helpful to know if I'm rapid cycling, manic, etc. There are meds you can take for OCD. You may want to ask your psychiatrist about them...

Not feeling well at the moment

I'll have to contact one of my friends in Tucson to see if they have an alert for pollen and smog. We do here in Wisconsin. We also have heat advisories.

Not feeling well at the moment

That's exactly the kind of weather I like. Even if temps dipped into the 30s every now and then, that's nothing compared to the weather we have here in Wisconsin.

Not feeling well at the moment

I'd be interested in your mother's comments. :ty: I'm going to move to Tucson regardless because even if it doesn't help my asthma or allergies, it will help my mood and I won't have to deal with the snow or extreme cold.
