Before I became deaf, I never understood why people were so irritated by the sound of nails on a chalkboard but when I asked my husband he said it hurts his hears and sometimes can make him feel sick because of the sound. Interessting.

60-80db on both ears.

I would think that a cell phone that has video calling capabilities would be a good option as well...

What has been your exxperience? Did they have accomodations? If so, what were they??? I'm planning on going to the movies tomorrow and want to know what to expect. I haven't been since the big drop in my hearing loss...:shock:

Did you ever apply for a job without letting the employer know that you either Deaf or HoH until the interview/meet? Actually, i still haven't told them... How did/would you work with other people? I'm really good at lipreading so that's what i do. Say you are working at Starbucks...
