I recently lost all my hearing (from what little I did have before), and that was a few months ago. Now I have a ringing in my left ear. Is it possible I'm still hearing or do total deaf people get tinnitus too?

I've been hearing impaired (apologies, I was raised hearing) since birth. But it wasn't discovered until I was five. I had a bunch of other medical problems that trumped that. I am in college for the second time to start a new career in nursing. I love it, and can't wait to become a nurse...
