I honestly learned alot about a culture I haven't grown up to love. Even though I am deaf, I havent ever been a part of the deaf culture so this book has really opened my eyes to many things I never knew before.

Has anyone read Train Go Sorry? I have just finished reading it for the second time? Does anyone have any opinions about the book? Any suggestions for other books like this one?
Hi I am currently not a part of the deaf community but I would like to attend a couple of events to meet people like me and possibly make new friends. Does anyone know of any deaf events in Northern Virginia?:ty:

Is there anyone here who is hoh/deaf and swims. I play water polo and swim and it is extremely hard to succeed and be normal with all my other hearing teammates. Does anyone have any advice or stories to share?
Thank you
:ty: I am currently in high school learning to sign. I do read lips as a core part of my hearing abilities.
I believe I have been misinstructed about the deaf culture and would like to learn more about it. Maybe even become a part of it.
I have heard that most people with CI's are not accepted in the Deaf Culture. I have a CI in my right ear and consider myself deaf. I wonder why deaf people do not accept the cochlear implanted people.
:ty:Any comments from you guys would be appreciated:ty:
