I absolutely agree with you! I am the same way. I would hope and expect people to believe my truth no matter how far fetched it may sound so I try to give other people that same respect.

Hello everybody! My name is Ann and I am a hearing student new to learning ASL and even newer to learning about the deaf community so I look forward to meeting new hearing and deaf people to help me along this new journey. :wave:

Okay....so, I have only been a member of the site for a few hours and I am absolutely shocked because I had a total opposite experience than what I thought it would be like before I actually joined. I joined solely to meet with people no matter hearing or deaf with the intent to learn about deaf...

HEYYY lol We are in the same ASL class. I finally decided to join because I couldn't find any ASL/Deaf related organizations in my area. I'm in love with learning ASL but I'm afraid I won't get to actually use what I'm learning. :-( ohh the joys of living in a small town.
