Virginia Tornadoes

Yes, My home in Virginia scary over the torandos that happens here close to my area, I was very greatful it didn't hit my area just bad winds and dowpour rain. But it was the worest hit in Suffolk, Virginia was pretty bad. Which I am not too far from Suffolk, Norfolk, Chruchlands and other counties. It was pretty scary watching the warning and all I could think about was being prepare and protecting my child and pet. The National Weather Service has confirmed that three tornadoes touched down in central and southeastern Virginia Monday. It was on the news since 2 30 pm to late night. But those who need help can call the American Red Cross Suffolk Chapter at 539-6645. If you'd like to help those in need, you can make a donation with a credit card over the phone by calling the same number or by mailing a check to the American Red Cross Suffolk Chapter: 157 North Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434. You can help donate to some of the people. The red cross asks that you do not send clothing or furniture donations. They say the best way to help is to donate money so they can get what they need. You can click here to see the pictures of torandos,, ( Click here: WAVY TV 10 - News, Weather, Traffic, Sports for Hampton Roads, Virginia - North Eastern North Carolina - Pictures )WAVY TV 10 - News, Weather, Traffic, Sports for Hampton Roads, Virginia - North Eastern North Carolina - Pictures of funnel clouds from throughout the region

I live less than 30 minutes away from that area that were hit.. I was amazed and happy that no one were killed cuz that tornados destoryed brand new shopping center and nearly hit the hospital across the shopping center (just windows were blew out at hospital).

Interesting thing that when I was at work and I saw the cell tower usage maxed out at 100% capacity near these area and over 25,000 of calls were being blocked (like fast busy on landline) just in 3 hours period cuz so many people trying to SMS and calling loved ones in short period of time.

Amazing pics...lucky nobody was killed.

Anyone know what rating the tornadoes were?

We saw some nasty storms here in MD that night.

They think it was F-5 that hit suffolk pretty badly over 200 people were injury, so many houses, stores and cars totally damages pretty badly. So lot of clean up. They did say one person was killed.

I live 15 min away from DC, and on the top of high rise building, and I was thinking if tornado is hitting here, because of lightning every 5 seconds, but that didn't happen, and then next day I read on CNN, and that was pretty scary.

I sure hope we don't see more torandos like that again for another life time. I just greatful to the man upstairs not hit here. :) But do hope the people that got hit pretty bad are in my prayers.
