Sprint allows fraud

Oh my dear! That's sucker!!!

I hope everything goes smooth for you both.
:ty:

What Sprint is? I tried to find with the help from dictonary but it doesn't match your post here?
It's a mobile phone company.

Cell Phones, Mobile Phones, and Wireless Calling Plans from Sprint

I am surprised that the bank allow to withdraw $ from your hubby's business account over to Sprint company automatic without get your hubby's written approval when you said that your hubby do not know and never even contact Sprint ?
Right. We've never used Sprint service.

How? It amaze me how clever Sprint is to use your bank account ????
The Sprint customer gave Sprint Hubby's bank account number but the customer used his own name, not Hubby's name.

Bank must have recogonize your hubby's signuature... or bank must have check your hubby's approval in writing to allow the bank withdraw $ from your account over to Sprint.
That's what we thought. But the fraud customer didn't even use Hubby's name--he used his own, which is not even close to Hubby's name. But Sprint didn't care, as long as there was money in the account. Our bank was careless too, and we're still researching how and why the bank accepted a draft from Hubby's account without a signature or even the right name.

I got to ask how did the stealer sign with the account number instead of using hubby's name but his name? It is called Identify theft? right? Better contact credit and let them know that it was not your hubby but someone else and have clear the name.

i think they shoud have ask you for ID to match the bank account holder? I think this should be done to prevent fraud. thats my opinion.

We're still trying to find out the details.

The Sprint manager said that they don't care if the names don't match. If there is money in the account that's all they care about. They don't care whose account is used.

It's not exactly identity theft because they didn't use Hubby's name.

I agree that the bank should have checked for authorization. Hubby might go after the bank, too. Why is the bank allowing people access to an account without a proper name and signature?

Yes bank shouldnt have let this happen when they see different name they should have stopped it in first place?

I hope this will be resolved soon as possible.

Reba, whatever it was that you found out about their business practices gives me pause because my wife, just yesterday, mentioned wanting to get the Curve thru Sprint for $129.00.....hmmmmm

I'm not telling anyone to never do business with Sprint. Just be very careful, especially with their contracts.

If I recall correctly, you have accounts with AT&T? Maybe you can get the Curve thru them?

I do have At&T U-Verse (fiber optic) for all my computer, phone and tv programming needs but my Curve's thru T-Mobile. The "mistake" in not getting the Curve thru AT&T is that its 10 bucks more a month. If I had gotten it (wasn't thinking) it included with the above line-up, it would have been 30 bucks a month instead of 40. Oh, well, we will look into seeing if AT&T carries it and get the wee monthly reduction. Wait....wasn't that 10 buck reduction referring only to their Sidekicks? If so, the only thing we gotta worry about now is getting the device for 130.....

It doesn't hurt to negotiate . . . you never know what you might get. :)

and to think i was going to get a blackberry from Sprint now I am afraid to get one from them. I better get one from AT&T instead.

My brother used to work for sprint and he quit because he found out that they are dirty business because they steal money from people's account with false payment bills. So, that why he don't trust sprint and warned me too. Some business like sprint are dirty! :)
