I am trying to configure my router. I tried to get into 192.168.0.1 website but all it telling me too long to load it up. So I cant get in. I am going nuts without getting online while my son playing the game on xbox360. Now I am having problem with my router cuz from time to time I am getting disconnected. It is all because my son kept unplugged the wire from the router to plug into the modum and cuzing the damage to the wire or router. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I am wondering do you have to set up the router for every laptops and computers??

maybe Try this:

NETGEAR Support Home Page

it's a routerlogin.net website so I don't know if it will open your router.

so you could try and see if it gets you there :)

what is brand name of your router and model number?

Interesting.. I haven't had those problems since I unplugs and plug ethernet cable all the time. I have Belkin N wireless router. Try factory reset your router and re configure it. Maybe this would help....???

I am fully aware that you can set DMZ for Xbox but plm is that same DMZ set for VP100 or 200. I dunno IF you can set Xbox same DMZ as VP?? no idea

I have DI-604. See my son always unplugged the wire from router and plug into the modem so he can play game on xbox live and then when I want to get online then have to unplugged from modem to plug back into the router so I can get online along with my digital phone to be working. If my son used the modem then my phone wont work cant call out or call in. I need it to work.

Right now I am looking into another router. Same brand of course. Yea I do have vp-100.

You can set up your router to disable gaming mode.

Step 1 Access the web-based configuration by entering the IP address of your router in your web browser. The default IP address is 192.168.0.1. Enter your username (admin) and your password (blank by default).

Step 2 Click the Tools tab and then click the Misc. button on the left side.

Step 3 On the Miscellaneous page, select the Disabled radio button under Gaming Mode. Click Apply to save your changes.

Good Luck :fingersx:

Xbox Live

If a Router/Firewall exists between your Xbox console and your high-speed modem, you may have to configure the firewall to allow network communication on specific network ports. The following ports must be available for Xbox Live to operate correctly:

- UDP 88
- UDP 3074
- TCP 3074

How do I open ports on my D-Link router? - D-Link TechSupport - Choose Your Country

You try it again.

Router could been configured with a different ip address ..

One way to find out if you got XP is to click Start-> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt

Then in the Command Prompt box type > ipconfig

See if your IP Address start with 192.168.0.??? or it different? If it different then your router ip address may what "Default Gateway" ip address is. Try that in your web browser.
