iPhone vs. Windows Mobile

8 hour battery time on iPhone .. I think I'll stick with Windows Mobile phones =P

The 8525 has worse bad battery life compared to the Sidekick 2. I get only 6 hours out of it with IM, web surfing, e-mail, text, etc. I know the 3g causes battery drain, though. Anyone know of a larger capicity batteries for the 8525?

I have 8525 and I stay on Edge with IM or surfing or email and my standard battery last all day long.

I do not use pop3 email checker instead I check my pop3 email myself when I feel like to but I do use pushmail for relay service messages so I can get instant emails when someone leave a message for me at the relay service if I missed my IM relay calls.

Yes there are extended battery for 8525. Just go google or ebay and search "extended battery 8525"

I have use extended battery on Sprint PPC6700 before and no problem at all.

I have not yet brought one for 8525 but same princple as PPC6700

There are different size mAH extended battery and higher mAH more longer battery last between recharges but some will require bigger battery door which come with the extended battery.

Thanks, I will check up on that. My friend got extended battery for his Treo and it last for about 2 days instead of maybe 8 hours or so. He's happy with the longer battery life. :)

I heard that there have been explosions related to portable electronic batteries, there have been over 330 related cases since 2003, I think. That's out of 100 million batteries, so I don't think it's a big deal.

My friends got Treo 600 from ebay and it's work great. One year later battery life become short life like 10-20min then died. So I told him to buy new battery from ebay and it cost only $10 so he got one and replace new battery so he said much better and it take week. I just like holy shit.

And the Treo 700p has 4.5 hours talk time... that's the same as Sidekick 3's 4.5 hours talk time.

The Treo 755p has 4.2 hours talk time, which is worse.
