what if fcc cut vrs already right then what you do next?

Why some of you guy hate Sorenson or hate HOVRS or hate CSDVRS.

Don't you guy think thats thanksful each one of them because we don't have to depend on one VRS for rest of our life or otherwise it will be long long long and longer wait to get interpreter for our calls.

We should something we thanks for VRS but not that FCC's decision to cutting VRS Fund. VRS

HOVRS Newsletter this link ll explain interpreters frustrated cuz of SorensonVRS

How come you don't care for the VRS concept, Richard?

I am surprised that Sorenson refuses to let the interpreters to transfer to another SVR services if they do not like their job. The Sorenson's contract stated that it requires them to continue working for the company in one year, and then they could decide to find another job. Isn't that against the law? Or, it sounds that the companies are messing around about negative comments.

Some people said that we should buy a VP device instead of getting a free one. I don't like to buy one which cost about 300 dollars. You could buy a regular phone for less than 20 dollars. That's 15 times difference.

In a general idea, I am not so sure if we are willing to pay the service like 3 dollars per month to make video phone calls. It is just like hearing people paying 30 to 40 dollars a month. You know hearing can get promoted for more money. It is not too many or none deaf to get promoted. That's common nowadays.

Not quite right, Webexplorer. The language states (my words): If an interpreter quits working for Sorenson, he/she will NOT work for another VRS company for at least a year AFTER he/she quits.

Oh brother! I had to read it again. Yes, it's my error. I have to buy a pair of very thick reading glasses! Maybe, I was thinking of something else.

Hey, man, not a problem; no biggie. I goof up lots, too, lol.

I am not VRS use myself nowday...I was told there got more than 70 % users that didnt' use realy service. True? Otherwise, that would be cheaper rate than use TTY-TDD if FCC let Sorenson to charge?.

Ummm, I'm not understanding what you mean? VRS is for you to use for free...what's the problem?

I got a postcard in mail today asking me to sign and mail it off to the FCC.

The card basically explains that FCC is considering cutting down on "Video Relay" funds but not removing it and that they want us to sign it and mail it objecting the VRS cost or reduction.

I have not sign it yet or mail it in but wonder if anyone got same postcard as well too?

what look like a postcard before send it to them? but I don't think they will cut vrs. cuz they know they need to see face to face with vrs on vp instead of tdd cuz people who have problem read understand the sentence. I prefer use face to face with vrs on vp and understand clear instead of tdd eeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkk.

I knows it is free.

What I mean vrs relay service workers sits there (they might to filing their fingernails or play crossword) and waiting to get a call from VP users. More than 70% didn't call them that cost money to Sorenson that lead the rate plan and/or FCC wants to cut down to spend on Sorenson (Sorenson and FCC are team?). That what I was told.

Huh? No, I don't have any problem because I don't have one....just asking anyone knows what I was told from my friends. True or not?

why not y'll try to use relay on Sorenson, I've been waiting for like 5 minutes before they could answer... are they cutting back on their staffs?

Oh gee on waited for 5 mintues?. I haven't try vrs relay services and I did to make a call to 711 since then.

Maybe get some magazine (or pager) next to you read to kill your waiting time...that define be better than waiting room into the lobby of hostipal? :)

For now, I does sitting back and waitng to see everyhting get better of VRS (or other new vrs company) like we seen more better pager from many companies than earlier pager like wynettt or sidekick 1. Something like from TV tube to HDTV. Atari to Xbox360-PS3. :cool2:
