Do you treat human and animal equal?

I noticed from other thread that some people see human and animal different which I respectfully disagree.

I would like to know from some of you why you see them different when I see them equal?

Come and discuss....

Agree and disagree are welcome as long as there´re no bash/insult... Remember each person has her/her own POV.

I vote yes.

I treat human and animal equal.

I have 4 cats who lives with us. We treat 4 cats as our own children (my 2children and 2 grandchildren).

We treat them on their birthdays, Easter and Christmas as the same as we treat our both sons.

Human and animals have protection rights against abuse, cruelty, etc.

Human and animals receive euthanasia equal to save their suffer.

Human and animals need medical to save their life.

I like your post. :) awesome

I agreed that animals should be treat properly, and I never agreed that i am an animal which is insult me annoyingly. HOWEVER - i believe all creatures, flying things, and all kinds should be healthy and safety and equal. I'm surely agreed with you mostly except "humans are animals" issuse. :)

Animals and humans are not the same, and shouldn't be treated equally.

Animals should not have the right to marry humans, to vote, or to drive cars.

Humans should not have the right to squat and poop on the sidewalk (even if they pick it up in a bag), walk the streets naked, or sniff another human's butts in public.

Animals shouldn't be forced to get SSN's, pay taxes, or wear clothing.

Humans shouldn't be forced to be sterilized, get annual rabies vaccinations, or wear collars with leashes.

Animals shouldn't serve hamburgers at fast food restaurants, and humans shouldn't be the ground up ingredients in the burgers.

okay, i'm not gonig to insult you.
I seen many animals are abused by humans so i believe that animals should have a protective laws for all matters. :3 Ofc, animals cant do anything like humans but it's their different ability for creature being. it's always amazing how thay can which we, humans, cannot. :D

I'm a very strong supporter of protecting animals from abuse. But that doesn't mean animals are "equal" to people. Animals don't have to be equal to humans in order to deserve humane treatment.

People should be good stewards of the animals that are in their care.

Okay. I see your point. Yes, i believe so. It should have laws for all creatures, all matters! :D

:hmm: House is burning. There's only enough time to go back in for one rescue. I can carry only one unconscious victim of smoke inhalation. Here's the choice: rescue my little son or rescue my big dog (they are the same size and weight).

Are they truly "equal"?

Depend. XD but your question is definitely good point!

Yes, I do treat the animals equally as well as humans, too.

I would say we are on the same page about this issue, but animals deserve a respect from people. I don't think we should be responsible to take care of animals in the wild or even feed them. Its not our job to nurse wild animals.

Yea!!

Here vote yes.. .

Animals should not have the right to marry humans, to vote, or to drive cars.

We are not obligate to marry, to vote or to drive cars, don´t we? :)

Humans should not have the right to squat and poop on the sidewalk (even if they pick it up in a bag), walk the streets naked, or sniff another human's butts in public.

 but we train them to not do anything, don´t we?

Animals shouldn't be forced to get SSN's, pay taxes, or wear clothing.

Is it obligate for them to go work to pay taxes or whatever... ? Oh yes Animals do wear clothes to keep them warm...

Humans shouldn't be forced to be sterilized, get annual rabies vaccinations, or wear collars with leashes.

Oh yes, we got our children vaccinations, don´t we?
Oh yes, the parents use leashes on their children...

Animals shouldn't serve hamburgers at fast food restaurants, and humans shouldn't be the ground up ingredients in the burgers.

Oh I don´t feed my children and pets junk foods.

It makes no difference either one or seventeen children including animals. I rescue all of them.

Exactly, it´s not our job to take care of homeless people and animal (including wild animals) but send them to Red Cross and RSCA to take care of them.

You didn't read the scenario:

"House is burning. There's only enough time to go back in for one rescue. I can carry only one unconscious victim of smoke inhalation. Here's the choice: rescue my little son or rescue my big dog (they are the same size and weight)."

Which would you rescue?

This is your POV.
Well, that's what this thread is about right? You wanted our opinions, right?

We are not obligate to marry, to vote or to drive cars, don´t we? :)
I didn't say "obligate". I said animals shouldn't have the "right" to do those things.

 but we train them to not do anything, don´t we?
I said they shouldn't have the "right" to do those things. Animals and humans don't have equal "rights".

I said they shouldn't be "forced" to do those things.

This would be so much simpler if you would just read the words that I write.

Oh yes, we got our children vaccinations, don´t we?

Oh yes, the parents use leashes on their children...
Your children are forced to get annual rabies vaccinations?!

People are forced to wear collars and leashes?! :eek3:

Maybe they do that in Germany but they sure don't do that in the USA.

Oh I don´t feed my children and pets junk foods.
That's nice to know but it has absolutely nothing to do with my statement.

But since you brought up the subject, at least your children are eating healthy cat food, eh?

Your children don't eat meat do they? If animals and people are equal, I guess that would be cannibalism. :ugh3:

I don't consider animals equal. We should not be exploiting them; wearing them, eating them, using them for entertainment or anything else. As the quote goes, they are here for their own purposes. They are not for human use anymore than women are for men, blacks are for whites, or, I'd like to add, deaf are for hearing. I think we have a responsibility to take care of the ones we already have domesticated (dogs, cats, cows, any other animals that are alive right now) but I think it's irresponsible to breed any more.

Animals and humans are not the same, and shouldn't be treated equally.

The only difference is that their species are different than our human beings.

Animals should not have the right to marry humans, to vote, or to drive cars.

As I said, our species are different. There is no way for dogs to act like spider, there is no way for birds to act like fish, there is no way for humans to act like animals. They create their own needs in the way different than our human beings which we create our own cars, computers, houses etc, but spider create their own web, birds create their own nest, etc.

Humans should not have the right to squat and poop on the sidewalk (even if they pick it up in a bag), walk the streets naked, or sniff another human's butts in public.

Haha very funny! As I said, there is no way for the different living things to act like other different kind of living things as due of varies of species.

Animals shouldn't be forced to get SSN's, pay taxes, or wear clothing.

Never. Why? They are not humans. They don't function like us. They have different brain function, body system, etc that's all, but they are just the living just like us the human beings.

Humans shouldn't be forced to be sterilized, get annual rabies vaccinations, or wear collars with leashes.

That is only for pets ;) Not wild animals or humans.

Animals shouldn't serve hamburgers at fast food restaurants, and humans shouldn't be the ground up ingredients in the burgers.

Well, how they eat is very different compare to each other. Birds get worms from the ground, fish eat some small animals in the water, rodents eat the vegetables from the grassland, etc. We get our foods different than them, as they get their own different way than each other.

I vote yes, I believe we are one of the nature in earth.

I think it should be legal for pets to have seat belt in car...

because I read in newspaper, a doberman dog injured head on the windsheild.
