Bulgaria: Train Hits 2 Deaf-Mute Women in Bulgaria, 1 Dies
A passenger train, travelling from Karlovo to Tulovo, Central Bulgaria, hit and killed on the spot a 44-year-old woman on Saturday morning.
The woman and a friend of hers were crossing the railway lines and did not react to the sounding of the train's horn.
The second woman, 56 years old, was hit by the strong air current triggered by the passing train, fell on the ground and got a rib fractured. She was rushed to the local hospital and doctors say her life is not in danger.
Witnesses say the two women acted as if they were deaf-mute.
