Lately, I've noticed more and more pets are being neglect and abuse, seem every once in a while I would click through Google just to look up and read some news that I might have missed since I hardly watch TV, and just recently I just heard of a case where a owner was accused of beating his family’s 11-month-old chocolate with a frying pan, and another case of a woman who was accused of killing more than 650 animals and it happen in the state I live in, my goodness what happening to these poor animals? Now my question is ......should there be tougher animal abuse penalties?
 
I agree that there should be tougher laws on animal abuse - I have volunteered several times at Longmeadow Ranch and it's so sad when I see a horse shy away from me, because he thinks I will hurt him...*sigh*
 
i adpots soo many pets in past and my mother does still to.. once we have pet pass away then we adopt again..

I hate when pets been abused it's not their fault when they are so helpless!

YES!!!! The law should be more stricter with animals neglect and abuse.

Poor those animals being suffer! When my mom moves here and will adopt a dog from the pound. I wouldn't mind either but one dog is enough for us at this moment.
 
Last night on the local news channel, I watched a disheartening story about a cat and dog that was left behind in a vacant home, apparently the people that had lived there moved elsewhere and left the two pets behind. What was really really disheartening is the fact that there was no heat, no water...the cat was practically frozen to the floor on one side...very hungry, dehydrated...had to be put to sleep, they discovered the only thing left in her stomach was a piece of twist-tie (the kind that ties up a loaf of bread)...apparently, the dog was able to fully recover and was presently being set up for an adoption. The previous owners are being sought and will be served for animal cruelty and more.

As much as we may need more stiffer fines, etc., for animals that are abused, etc.,...I believe we also could use more information with how to handle and have proper care, etc., for any domesticated animals. ;)

I DO!!! VERY YESSSSSSSSS! Can't stand the way those ppl have done to poor animals, they do have feel as much as human have! Damn why cant they see it!?? No matter what, I tend to be very angry whenever I see, u could see me in real red face!! Cuz I am very much sensitve animal lovers more than human, that is! Do not ask me abt that one, lol but that is what I am and plus I am trying to hope to save WOLF as they have been fighting over them...on and off...that godblast idiot ppl! Sighs.. I am scared if they go exit in future....so that would be the same for dogs and cats if that keep up! U know I wish if that idiot ppl would became dogs and cats..see how that feel when those ppl abused them, eh? Sighs... I am sorry...just that I am so angry all the time whenever I see! I love them to death!

I voted YES!! I was watching Animals precient shows all the time.. I felt so bad for the animals that got abused by the master/owner. It pissed me off and got me tears!! waaah
 
I vote "Yes" I'm the biggest fan of Animal Cops too, and have seen animals being neglect from starvation and dehydration even worst when a collar grow into an animal skin because of heavy chain, I find that very disturbing. :( We, pet owners should give our pets respect and dignity. They're animals with feelings too. ;)


I think laws on animal cruelty should be more tougher, slap them with a year of prison sentence, fined and not allow to own another pet for five years, instead of a fined, and six months in jail is not enough. :(
 
Nah, there's already laws on animal abuse by ANIMAL CONTROL and can Notify to police must press the charge for Cruelty Animal. Take you the court..
Up to the Judge how much case serious or mild.. so many different vary the cases.

i vote YES there need to put MORE TOUGHER in cruelity to animals laws no matters what

I just voted "Yes" and I am very huge animal lovers. Those pets do not deserve to be suffer by neglect, abusive etcs.
 
animal abuse is a sign that something is wrong with a human being

if an innocent is being abused- the individual is an immediate threat to the society and for the well being of the society as a whole the offender ought be removed for a long time- not for a short time
 
I voted; Yes.

Animals don't dersve this. They have feelings like Humans does... And, Some of laws in USA that isn't good enough, but I like Detroit's Law, if you hurt or neglect an animal for once so they can't have a pet for lifetime, period. I like theirs plan but not very often unless if very seriously then will do that... :(

there should be a stricter law for leashes! there are soo many animals that are loose and attacking other dogs and cats and people. so yes there should be stricter laws as well as for abusers too!
 
I do want more tougher laws on animal abusers because it's not enough and I know they feel PAIN like we do. They can't speak for us, but will show fear or aggressive after some animal is abused.
