Indianapolis - For months it's been a well-kept secret. But now Warren Township Schools confirm a disturbing case of sex in the classroom. The illicit activity has parents concerned and a district at a loss for words.

Shop class gives students a chance to learn outside of the book. But at Warren Township's Raymond Park Middle School, two students engaged in illicit acts in view of goggled eyes.

13 Investigates was tipped off by a disturbed resident who writes:

"...during school hours in a classroom with an experienced teacher present, two sixth graders completed the act of intercourse...at least ten students were witnesses. No disciplinary actions were taken against the teacher... All teachers were told to keep quiet."

Middle school students having sex in a busy classroom while a teacher is present? Warren Township Associate Superintendent Jeff Swensson confirmed it's true. It's been kept under wraps since November.

The principal at Raymond Park Middle School would not speak to us about the incident or parents concerns. The superintendent in charge of middle schools in the district also backed out of an on-camera interview and instead provided a three-sentence statement:

"Two students were involved in inappropriate conduct in a lab class last semester. We have investigated the matter and taken appropriate action. The school corporation considers the matter closed and will have no further comment."

Associate Superintendent Jeff Swensson told Eyewitness News off camera the teacher didn't know what was going on because another student acted as a "look-out." But once the teacher discovered the behavior, immediate action was taken. Swensson says the students involved were recommended for expulsion. But he did not say whether the board followed that recommendation.

Warren Township School Police were not aware of the incident and say no report was made even though the children were recommended for expulsion.

We sought comment from all seven Warren Township School Board Members about how this case was handled. No one was available to speak with us.

LOL. I remember I only had a kiss from girl when I was 7th grader. Jeez. These days, kids are getting smarter and younger to have sex.
 
I am in my 30s so these kids are "my"' gerneration's kids. Apparently we are failing thses kids by raising them wrong. What r we doing wrong? Too much time watching TV, being on the Internet, or playing games?

I hope my daughter will have a good head on her shoulders when she reaches that age. I don't allow her to have Internet access in her room, have cable TV, nor let her play R-rated video games so I hope I am a good role model for her. *sighs*

Or maybe it doesn't matter how well we raise our kids, they r influenced by their peers and peer pressure just overpowers their good judgement?

I don't remember any of my classmates in middle school trying to have sex in the classroom. All we thought was about french kissing and how cool it was. LOL
 
I just hope they at least used a condom... Shagging in a class room? Rofl. That's a new one...

By the way removing things from them doesn't stop them from accessing it. They can access it at friends houses, the library if there's no locks and various other places. They even get condoms from gas stations.

Even the mall has televisions plugged in, stores have explict pictures and such. I think parents aren't meant to be enforcers but a guide. In the end the choices are up to the child regardless of what we say, we just can educate them and arm them with knowledge and hope that it's enough to keep them safe in the world as well as hope that it will make them have the ability to make smart decisions.

edit; to clarify about library locks. I'm referring to the computer. Even if it does have locks there ARE teenagers who know ways around them. Generally all's they need is root access or a password, possibly a simple "start in safe mode" to access adminserative options. It used to be really easy back in the 90s, I don't know about it anymore however.
 
i would have agree with posts i think the 2 six grades have learn their lesson for not have sex in the class! in front of student and teachers also they would suspended of 2 six grades.

when i was senior i got little sex with my classmates at outside of restaurant they wont tell anyone and one of my best friend tell anyone front of me! that totally embrassment and i got suspended for about weeks and my mom gives me no shopping and everythings when i having trouble but im learn my lesson for that so im going home called OSS you know means? out of school suspension for school.

mostly school know what suppose mean? and dont know what mean!

but im wishes my best friend would kept mouth shut!
