VRS Equipment help!

I got a phone call from Hamilton VRS they want to know the type, the make, and model type of the router that I own, before I can get my VP, since I have no knowledge with computers, what is router? How do I find that?
 
Cheri, I know your ISP offer three public IP addresses at no extra charge, so you may not need router, but would need a switch. I really doubt you have router so you can let Hamilton VRS know about this, and make sure to explain that your ISP offers three public IP addresses at no extra charge.
