No...not Halo 3. It's a "Age of Empires" style game that takes place in the Halo universe with the continued war between humans, elites, and the flood. Bugie won't be alone in this one yet Ensemble software will do most of the work on this Halo spin off.

Halo 3 is still in the works, yet there is another game that is related to Halo and I dont think Master Chief will be the lead in it, but thats all I hear from X06. I think it look cool, but I think I would rather Halo 3 since it's a FPS anyway.

Here's the pictures.

You know what? Microsoft had some ppl shut down their 3 years-worthy works known as Halogen mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour few weeks ago.
I wonder if Microsoft rip off their mod and claim it as their 'official' RTS game?
I know they violated the copyrights but it's just simple mod suggested be play on C&C Generals ZH only. Unfortunely, staff have no choice to shut down their works to avoid costly lawsuits (it's all MS love doing that for years).

Command & Conquer Files - Halogen Shut Down

I wish you could see their works and amazing units they works on. Like Master Chief riding on ATV, flamethrower tank, dropship, and kind of giant robot.

I was pissed off when I heard about what happens to Halogen. I was kind look forward to that mod for my C&C Generals ZH (actullay I own C&C the first decade).

But I not going to buy that Halo RTS game... *finger*

*edit* What? Halo Wars is for Xbox 360 only? *double fingers* RTS games is for PC games, better with mouse and keyboard, not gamepad.

Pardon me for bad temper toward MS...

Official website is now online. Not much informaton but you could grab the wallpapers there. There's only five wallpapers available in five different sizes.

It's would be better if they decide make Halo Wars a PC version. I just wait for more trailers to see how player controls units with gamepad.

Dont get too cocky...Halo 2 is still being produced for PC and should be released next summer.

I'd heard of Halo 2 coming to PC soon but play on Vista only. Need $300 to buy Vista Ultimate then get Halo 2 for $50 or $20. I dont have kind of that money to get both soon. I still work on getting new montior for my computer then perhaps buy faster processor, best mobo, and powerful video card to get ready for new games and Vista. I spent my money on current parts for Halo: CE and Elite Force II then GTA San Andreas two years ago.

RTS games are usually release as PC versions such as C&C, ST Armada 1 & 2, SW EaW, and Age of Empires. This genre wont sell well on consoles in past time due to limited controls on gamepad. I dont know if Wii could handle this genre with Wii remote.

Halo 2 for PC looks just ALITTLE BIT better than Xbox version.

I agree. RTS war games are best played on the computer. I'm a fan of the Command & Conquer series. I played Command & Conquer on the Nintendo 64 and Command & Conquer: Red Alert- Retaliation on the Playstation. On the Nintendo 64, they gave the game a more 3-dimensional feel... but the gameplay was still the same.

What sucked most was the fact that the controls weren't the same. There are a lot of multiple commands for each unit, building, etc. With the keyboard, you can simply press 'A' to attack, 'G' to guard, 'S' to stop, 'X' to scatter, etc. You can also hold down the shift key to select more than one character and do a combo-hold for the CTRL and ALT key for guard, force fire, or force move.

Anyway, the new Halo game does look promising... but only if it's on the PC. :)

Reason that Microsoft prefers Xbox because Halo was first created in xbox that should come first. PC later with Vista can communicate with Xbox 360.

That's why Microsoft think twice and it going to be hot selling again!

One of these days, they'll have a touch-based control panel built in monitors for RTS. Now, that would be cool!
