Deaf on TV.

How do you think Deaf Actress like Marlee Matlin,Deanne Bray, Amy Ecklund , etc. are doing to portray the deaf on TV...Are they opening up a new world for others, or doing harm...what do you think...
 
i liked the show fbeye. I had met deanne bray a several of times, i also think i met Marlee Matlin.
 
also i dunno if u know or not, but tv program on for short time, deaf today, with anselmo desousa, i know him pretty well.

Well for one they are actress and they do not represent deaf. They do it for themselves. They love acting and lucky they got big break.
It would be stupid for anyone to assume us to be alike them. I never met them and I do not want to. Meet too many Hollywood people and they are fake.
 
I know they do it for themselves...but they do help open the door for others to follow...dont you think so...
 
I met Marlee Matlin once when she arrived in Australia for the deaf pride. That was a long time ago.
